DairySight® Users FAQ

What services will DairySight provide to users?

DairySight will provide information tools , delivered over the Internet, to help in management of dairy herds. "Information tools" can mean anything from simple lists (for example, cows to check for pregnancy) to sophisticated analytic reports, using all the power that computers have to offer.

What is needed to use DairySight services?

To use DairySight , you will need Internet access (a telephone modem is fine), and a computer with an Internet browser (such as Netscape or Internet Explorer).  You will also need to set up an account.  Charges may be billed to you monthly, or charged to a credt card. 

What will it cost?

Each report will have a clearly indicated cost, based on costs to generate the report (see IP and Data FAQs).  There is no charge to set up an account. 

How will access to private information be controlled?

Typically for DHIA data you will need a signed release from the herd owner for each herd you will be examining.  Some data is available to without restrictions - it all depends on what is specified by the owner of the data. 

Am I going to be spammed if I sign on?

No, certainly not.  We will not to abuse the trust of our customers.
